Studentship Awards
The Basic & Translational Science platform is accepting applications for the CanVECTOR 2025 Studentship Awards.
The purpose of the Research Training Awards (Studentship stream) is to provide financial support for highly qualified, promising graduate students to allow them to pursue research training in thromboembolism at a Canadian Centre.
CanVECTOR Graduate Studentships offer support to candidates who are enrolled in an MSc or PhD program and are interested in conducting venous thromboembolism (VTE)-focused research.
Call for Specific Area of Interest
In this competition, $10K of the available funding is reserved for projects focused on complement-mediated diseases in thrombosis, thanks to the support of Alexion.
Quick Facts:
- Studentship winners may receive a maximum of $10,000 (CAD).
- Graduate Studentships offer support to candidates who are enrolled in an MSc or PhD program and are interested in conducting VTE-focused research.
- Administered by CanVECTOR’s Translational / Basic Science Platform.

CanVECTOR Travel Award for ISTH 2025
CanVECTOR is pleased to be able to offer travel support to attend the ISTH 2025 Congress from June 21-25, in Washington D.C.
Please note that the award will be determined through a random selection process from the pool of eligible applicants. Participants with no other source of funding will be given priority.
Bank transfers may take up to 6-8 weeks after the conference.

- Must be supervised by a CanVECTOR member
- Must be accepted for an oral/poster presentation at the ISTH Congress 2025
