OTTAWA, ON, February 26, 2026 – The CanVECTOR Network is thrilled to announce the opening of applications for Travel Support Awards, designed to help Canadian trainees showcase their research at the ISTH 2026 Congress in Paris, France (July 11–15, 2026).
Recognizing the importance of global knowledge exchange, CanVECTOR is committed to helping the next generation of venous thromboembolism (VTE) researchers present their work on the world stage. These awards provide financial assistance to trainees to help offset the costs of attending this prestigious international meeting.
Eligibility Requirements
To be eligible for travel support, applicants must meet the following criteria:

Membership: Must be a registered member of the CanVECTOR Network.

Trainee Status: Must be a trainee (e.g., medical student, resident, graduate student, nursing student, or fellow) currently supervised by a CanVECTOR member.

Research Acceptance: Must have an accepted oral or poster presentation for the ISTH 2026 Congress.
Award Selection Process
Awards will be granted via random selection from the pool of eligible applicants. Please note that priority will be given to participants who have no other source of funding for this conference.
Successful recipients can expect bank transfers for reimbursement to be processed approximately 6–8 weeks following the conclusion of the conference.
